Marketing Team Hits the Trails

So I’ve been getting a bit of slack from the rest of the marketing team for not posting on the blog yet, and decided I better do something about it.   (this is Britta – one of the three in the marketing team - Hi)

We recently bought a brand spankin’ new, fancy-dancy camera to take some offroading and product pictures with. What better to do on a sunny seventy-five degree Tuesday than practice our photography skills as well as test out Bestop product?

As much as we hated to leave our office cubicles for the afternoon, we decided it was probably the smart thing to do.We took the Bestop 2007 JK Unlimited and the 2005 TJ out to Left Hand Canyon, a trail only about 30 minutes from Bestop. Once again, the Bestop product proved itself, and our camera skills weren’t so bad either. Take a look at the pics…

2009 Raffle Jeep -

Every year the Colorado Association of  4 Wheel Drive Clubs creates a raffle vehicle.

Tom Hester, who is one of the head guys at Mile Hi Jeep Club, and very involved in building and promoting this year’s raffle vehicle, sends us some photos of the Jeep. It’s a 1992 Wrangler, and it has been built. Check out the before photos, and get some of the details on the build. Buy a ticket or ten. It’s a great cause and a rig worth owning.

This Jeep will be at All4Fun, the big Mile Hi Jeep club event later this summer. We’ll be there too!

Another Moab comes to a close..

So another Moab has come to a close for the Bestop family or well me (Megan, Bestop marketing manager) in general. Got to say this year was even more fun - we had time to hit up the trails at the Arches National Park and dirty up my favorite Bestop JK a bit (I also took pictures of our  Director of Marketing Jim Chick charging through the trails like he was racing out in Baja again). The top you see on the Jeep is a new top we are testing for Engineering - keep your eyes peeled in the next couple of months- this top rocked out there!

I included some pictures of myself and Jim grubbing on some tasty Mexican food, mostly because its a tradition at Bestop after a long day of wheeling. You know us Marketing people always looking for a story or a tradition to pass along! Anybody else have any fun ones? Submit them to the Blog I would love to hear it!

Otherwise we had a blast in the arena showcasing the Bestop goods and also fixing certain parts, answering questions and mostly just talking to our favorite people - Bestop customers! One guy told me that his Bestop Tigertop on his vintage Willy was over 17 years old, got to love that fit.function.style! All in all it was a good week and I can’t wait for Moab 2010!

Until next time, we will see you out on the trails! Shoot us an email if you know of any great ones that we might not have tried yet, we have plenty of products to test out this summer through the Rocky Mountains!

Cheers, Trails and Bestopping wishes to you! How will We Bestop next?

Bestop at Moab EJS 2009

Its that time of year again!

Hi all, Megan from Bestop Marketing here! We are pumped to only be 4 days away from Moab EJS 2009! Myself and the team will be there from Tuesday April 7th to Saturday April 11th. Last year was my first year at Moab and I had a blast learning how to dance on the rocks at the Arches and discovering the true meaning of ground and sky at Hells Revenge.

This year I am looking forward to learning more and also putting what I gained to use over this past summer of wheeling through the Rockies. My favorite part of EJS is the stories we hear either in the Arena or out on the trails. Last year, our “How Do YOU Bestop?” winner Melissa Fischer from Draper UT used our Supertop hardware and fabric to splint a guy’s broken leg while out on the trail. Crazy!

Anyway make sure to stop by the arena and say hi or wave me down while out on the trails. I look forward to seeing everybody next week -  How will YOU Bestop in Moab?
