Friday Cell-Camera Randomness

Just a few images to share from my cell phone camera.

This is my co-worker Crystal’s Jeep. It takes her a bit of a hop to get in.

This is my Jeep in the parking lot today. It’s snowing in Broomfield, and there’s a lot of snow in the mountains. It’ll be awhile before we can hit the upper trails!

This is a shot of the call center at one of our distributors. Catalogs for everything!

Gemini Off Road. A great little place outside Vancouver, BC. The owners can find anything you need. Maybe not right away, but they’ve got it there somewhere!

Our new JK. I took it to the shop to get a long arm lift kit, 35″ tires, lockers and gears. And it’s got over 1,00 miles on it already. Watch for this one on the trails.

Mickey Thompson Jeep - with Bestop Hardtop

Our friends over at Mickey Thompson just finished up a new Jeep. You’ll be able to see it at shows and events on the west coast, and it’ll be at SEMA late this year.

That’s a Bestop JK Unlimited Hardtop on it! Good looking Jeep. If you see it at a show, feel free to annoy them by talking about the hardtop, and ignoring the cool tires and wheels. That’s what I’d do!

Videos

It’s hard to find a way to show off a product that works better than video. And with over 80% of our customers on hi-speed internet, we need to get more videos to them. Here are the first ones we’ve done. If you’ve got feedback or suggestions, let us know (webteam@bestop.com). We’re planning more, and want them to be done right. If you’re in the business, and want to use these videos on your own site, absolutely! But let us know.

NuKizer

The NuKizer is Jeeps latest and greatest show Jeep. You can find some great information on it all over the place, like here and here.

We’re just going to talk about the soft top on it, and the fact that it was sitting in our booth.  Bestop has an engineering team based in Detroit, and they work closely with Jeep.  We’ve made tops for many of their show vehicles, like last year’s Lower Forty (of course, that top was a skimpy minimalist Bikini top).   TheNuKizer top is a little more special: it had to have that military look, yet be completely modern. And it was 100% custom.  Our engineering team came up with this top:

And to show their appreciation, Jeep let us keep it in our booth at the Moab show. THANKS!

More from the trail

Boss Jim on a trail run on the Moab Rim.

Moab Rim is a tough little trail that starts right off the Colorado river and then climbs up some classic slickrock. But up on top of the plateau you get some great views and more varied terrain. Looks like Jim is enjoying his Moab stay, even if they wouldn’t let him thrash that concept Jeep around.

Mopar Underground Jeeps in Bestop booth

We’ll share more info on the Nukizer Jeep later on. One of the Bestop engineers has been working on it, and we built that canvas top for it. So we’ll get some more details later.

Just wanted to share this snapshot of the Mopar Underground Jeeps in the Bestop booth at Moab Jeep Week.

Nice of the Chrysler Jeep guys to drop them off with us! But I heard they refused to leave the keys in the vehicles. Seems my boss has a bit of a reputation going, and they didn’t want to risk it. Probably the smart move.

Jeep Underground - new rigs shown at Moab

Jeep is at Moab, of course, and they’re once again showing off their concept vehicles, created by Mopar Underground.

More from Megan’s Moab Adventure

A few more shots from Megan. If you are guessing on the trail contest (below) then keep in mind that Megan is most likely on different trail runs than Jim. Get your guesses in for the contest!
