2018 Chevy Silverado 2500HD - Great product, fit and finish, but wrong bolts

The Trek Step fits great, works great, and looks great. Instructions are a little vague at places, but pretty good overall. Installation time would have been about 1/2 hour if I hadn't had to go to the hardware store for bolts. Two sets of bolts are supplied, M10x1.5 30mm and 65mm long. The 30mm are too short when using all 3 shims, and the 65mm are too long. The 65mm interfere with the action when extending the step. The 30mm don't provide enough thread length when using the shims. If the shims are not used the step hits the bumper when retracted. I got 40mm length bolts and they work perfect with all 3 1/4" shims. For this price the correct bolts should be included.

Not a straightforward install

Difficult to install on a 2016 GMC Sierra 3500 Denali with HD hitch. Top bolt access blocks socket and ratchet. Not enough room with step on to use speed wrench, can’t get one click. Have all extensions, universals but still need to take the o a shop to get the top bolt torqued tight enough for trailer hitch. 15 minute install is quite optimistic. Function is great and unit seems well made.

Rear bumper step for pickup

Purchased the 75300-15 for my GMC Sierra. Mounted it on the left rear bumper. The mounting brackets were perfect. The step is awesome. slip it out with my toe and slip it back in the same way. Very sturdy. Sure saves a lot of straining when getting up in the truck bed. also purchased the side mount step for the drivers side. It makes reaching the fifth wheel latch a snap. It bolted on as designed and is a snap. My dually was so high off the ground you had to crawl in the bed. Now it is an easy step. I will install set on my new 2017 soon as I find them. Thanks.
