Four stars ... for stars

I really hated putting the hardtop back on earlier this winter. Except for a brief snap of cold weather out winter hasn't been all that cold so far. But I couldn't enjoy it with the freedom panels because they were cumbersome and required too much fuss to take off / put on. I ordered the Sunrider with the premium twill and it arrived the week after Christmas. I would've liked it to be a little easier to install and have a little tighter fit ... but there is no wind/water leakage that I could tell at highway speeds. Anyway, I've had it on a couple of weeks and I could not be happier. This past weekend we had very mild temps and I took my Jeep out on a ride through the national forest with the Sunrider pulled back.... the open top not only afforded spectacular views that you don't get in the summertime because of the leaves, but once the sun went down and the temperature dropped back into the 50s the top took 15 seconds to close and I never had to take off of my seatbelt. I wonder why FCA/Jeep doesn't offer this configuration on a stock Jeep?

Sunrider for Hard Top

We love this product. Took a little longer to install because the 2 nuts were welded at the wrong angle. I drilled through them and used a 1/4" X 1-1/4" bolt. But it was well worth it. Living in Maine you never know when you'll need to close the roof. My wife can open and close it easily when she's alone. It's hanging on the wall in the garage until next spring.
