Trektop NX Glide has an innovative new folding frame design (patent pending) allowing it to function like a convertible top - just slide out the window panels (no zippers!) and it folds back behind the rear seat for a total open-air ride. Love the look

This was a lot of fun to assemble/install. I took my time following the video supported by the instructions and it took 4 hours with a dinner break. It has been on for about three weeks now and really easy to flip back, remove windows and return. there is a slight noise increase, but that was when I was listening for it and I quickly got used to it. I have been driving in all this crazy wind and rain this week with out a leak. I even sprayed the pollen that was in all the crevasses with the hose and still no water in it. Now for "arch bows"...these are not my favorite thing. I am not sure why the one that goes to the front of the jeep is the rear arch bow and they are not a great look with the top down. They are easy to remove, but something else to store in the jeep. I have left the "rear" or front arch off with the top up without even noticing that I did it. I think that if it is going to sit in the rain/snow and did not have the arches in, there could be significant damage. However, for day trips I think I could get away with leaving them at home.

Great Top... Even with a light bar!!!

I formerly owned a pickup truck and a convertible car. I sold both and bought a Jeep, since it can act as both. One of the first items I purchased for the Jeep was a 50 inch light bar. Soon after, I purchased a factory soft top. The combination of the two in even a moderate amount of wind was deafening, due to the buffeting. I immediately sold the soft top and have been pouting ever since... haha... After reading quite a few reviews and watching a lot of videos, I decided to purchase the Trektop NX Glide in the twill and try the soft top again. Took a bit to get it installed as others have said, but overall I am very happy with the top. I am assuming that the top will fit a little better once the sun stretches things out for me a little bit. After getting it installed, I took the Jeep for a ride and was greatly surprised at the lack of buffeting... even with the light bar. I now have my convertible back!!!

Best Top is Bestop Trektop NX Glide

Awesome top! Super easy to use, instructions were clear, and love the versatility of it. It by far exceeds my expectations. I bought the Twill Top and it is quiet, resists heat and cold. I live in AZ so that was important and it does work well. I installed a shade prior to installing the top so when it is convertible or retracted there is shade. I highly recommend it. Don’t be steered away because of the price. It is well worth it and well built. Like it was factory. The only complaint I have is there isn’t a storage bag.

New to the soft top...

Top looks amazing! The fast back just gives it that edgy look. I had a shop do my install with all my mods. Today i tried to take the top right off which was pretty simple. But getting them all back on was tough. When attaching the side windows to the back window, clipping them together was so hard. Then i noticed that in trying my nails had scratched the plastic window.u need to be very careful. Also i still cant get the bottom to clip under and secure either side of the spare wheel. Its so tight. I'll have a go tomorrow but after 1.15mins of putting the windows back in i gave up. I guess it needs to stretch a bit. And i need to practice a few more times.
