The Allegheny Highlands are aptly named! With views that go on for miles, you’ll travel through pristine forests that rarely see visitors. You will see active logging and oil drilling on some properties and hear expert commentary on the trail. Penn’s Woods trails provide mild trails for the newer jeepers, medium challenging trails for the more adventurous, and difficult trails for the seasoned driver. All trail levels have a variety of hills to climb, mud to traverse, and rocks to negotiate. Nearby are oil history museums and the remains of the Kinzua Train Viaduct, once considered the eighth wonder of the world. Also of interest is a new World War II museum in nearby Eldred. Come see for yourself all Penn’s Woods and Pennsylvania have to offer!
